Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to learn with KaratuAI, including people using older phones, slow connections, screen readers or other assistive technology.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across our website and learning experience. This is our design goal; this statement does not certify that every part of KaratuAI conforms to that standard.
Accessibility matters for students, families, educators and people learning at work. We use shared interface components and review the available window size, theme and text size when making changes.
2. What we do
Our design standards and interface reviews call for:
- Readable text with clear contrast in light and dark themes.
- Layouts that reflow on narrow screens and with enlarged text.
- Buttons and links with a target of at least 44 × 44 pixels.
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus and focus management in menus and dialogs.
- Meaningful headings and labels, with decorative artwork hidden from screen readers.
- Progress and feedback explained in words alongside any use of colour.
- Reduced-motion support for interface animations.
Saved lessons can support learning with an unreliable connection where offline downloads are available. Live AI interactions and other online services still need internet access.
3. Known limitations
- Uploaded documents and generated visual materials can vary in structure and clarity. Diagrams, images and presentation content may need an additional text explanation or another format.
- Some controls, including CAPTCHA and payment experiences, come from external services. Their accessibility can differ from the shared KaratuAI interface.
- Browser layout and keyboard checks do not establish compatibility with every screen reader, assistive device or operating system. We do not currently publish a complete independent accessibility assessment of the platform.
If a page or learning activity creates a barrier, please tell us about the issue. You can also ask whether information can be provided in a different format.
4. Browsers and assistive technology
KaratuAI runs in a web browser on phones, tablets and computers. Our interface reviews include browser checks at phone, tablet, split-view and desktop window sizes, in both themes and with enlarged text, plus keyboard and resize behaviour.
These checks are browser verification. They do not stand in for testing on physical devices, with slow connections, or with every combination of screen reader and browser. Comprehensive assistive-technology compatibility has not been established by those checks.
5. Feedback and help
Use our accessibility contact form if you have trouble using KaratuAI or need information in another format. The form goes to our general contact team.
It helps to include the affected page, what you tried to do, and your browser, device or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing those details. Do not include passwords or private learner files. You can enter “Individual” if you are contacting us for yourself.
Our team can follow up using the email address you provide.
6. Reviewing this statement
This statement was reviewed on 1 October 2026. We will update it as our interface, verification coverage and information about accessibility barriers change.
Our Trust Centre explains how accessibility fits alongside privacy, security and AI safety.
